After a frustrating day of shopping on online auctions, clicking on every seller’s auction page and making sure that each seller had a good reputation and the goods sold were authentic and what was described, Geri knew there must be a better way. She then started an online auction on Yahoo Auctions Singapore under the Yahoo ID BlueCanyonCo on April 19th 2004.

The founder of BlueCanyonCo Geri recognized that more people are doing online shopping like she does because traditional stores that sold fashionable clothing were not offering the type of shopping experience consumers have come to expect. They either found the prices at the stores too high due to retail mark-ups or the clothing were not one-of-a-kind or unique. Geri saw the solution in starting a website that customers can shop enjoyably and feel a sense of belonging as well.

Geri then formed the BlueCanyonCo development team who then started developing design concepts and writing code for the soon-to-be-launched website. The initial concept, which continues to unfold, remains today - a one-stop-shopping fashion club on the Internet that offers members imported U.S brands in a fun, friendly, and stylish environment. As the hardest working Christmas Holidays in 2004 for the launch team came to a close, BlueCanyonCo.Com opened its cyber doors and began selling U.S brand name apparel at attractive prices since April 2005.

Today, BlueCanyonCo features a dynamic design, personal customer service, and user-friendly search available through an online apparel store. In addition, BlueCanyonCo.Com offers enjoyable fashion news and articles on its website and now also a BlueCanyonCo Blog that Geri discusses her thoughts on fashion trends, celebrity styles, and interesting events in her life. The best part of all, BlueCanyonCo offers a member rewards program that offers reward points for every purchase that are converted into discounts for future purchases.

BlueCanyonCo.Com did not just hatch out of the blue. Geri has a history of selling U.S brands on Yahoo Singapore Auctions. Geri is a Fashionista and has always loved U.S brands especially the three brands that she mostly wears: Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, and American Eagle Outfitters. Apparently, she was not the only one, her family and friends also loved these brands and were constantly asking her for shopping favors from the U.S. She then decided one day that she wanted to bring in fashionable U.S brands to the local shopping scene. She then started selling these U.S brands on her Yahoo auction page. With the unique and cool stuff that Geri carefully selects, more and more online buyers began to patronize her auctions and many also became her regular customers over time.
